Library Visit
On Tuesday 22nd March, I had the great pleasure of taking a number of our pupils to the official opening of Timperley Library. As a school we produced some beautiful artwork to be displayed there and selected one child from each class to attend, these were children who the teachers felt had a real love of reading. They spoke beautifully at the ceremony and read some poems about books - the Mayor of Trafford was very impressed! We are hoping to set up further links with the Library and hopefully we will be able to take all children to visit soon. In the meantime, pop down and have a look at the wonderful work the children created

Nursery trip to Imagine That in Liverpool on Wednesday 18th May
The children in Nursery will be going on their school trip to Liverpool’s “Imagine that” (Imagine That Link) on Wednesday 18th May 2022. This trip is to a children’s discovery centre where the children will have opportunities to interact with a range of imaginative, creative and scientific activities. Total cost of visit including admission charges and transport is £12.50. Please pay and consent for the trip on Parent Pay by 16th May 2022.
We will be advising soon those parents who have offered to help.
Jubilee Celebrations
To mark the Queen’s landmark Platinum Jubilee this year, Broomwood Primary School are going to mark the occasion with a fun filled day on Wednesday 25th May. Throughout the day children will have some time on an inflatable, sing some celebration songs, learn a dance, and have some close-up entertainment in their classroom.
We are asking all children and staff to wear red, white and/or blue on the day
During the afternoon, the whole school will then have a picnic lunch on the field whilst being entertained by the Amazing Andre. As this is a special occasion, the kitchen will be putting together a picnic box for the children and those who usually have school dinner will receive one. Those children who usually have packed lunch will still be able to bring those however we are also giving them the opportunity to order a picnic box from the kitchen if they would prefer.
Please complete the form sent by email/text by Wednesday 4th May to let us know whether you would like your child to have a picnic box for this day and make a payment for a school dinner on Parent Pay of £2.35.
Please note that if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they get Universal Free School meals so you will not need to pay £2.35. You will also not need to pay if your child is on Free School meals through your benefits
